Background

I was born in Munich and grew up speaking English to my mother and German to my father. Having spent the first 15 years of my life in Germany, I moved to England after completing the German middle school certificate (Mittlere Reife). In June 2001 I completed the International Baccalaureate at Sevenoaks School, Kent and went on to read Natural Sciences at Cambridge University.

After completing my BA, I returned to Germany to start a Masters in Environmental Planning & Engineering Ecology at the Technische Universität München. My studies took me to Portugal and later Brazil, where I discovered my love for the Portuguese language.

I now live in Vitória, Brazil I work as a freelance translator and writer.
